Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has started the JNVST Class 6th Registration 2020-21 for the admission of eligible students into Navodaya Vidyalaya. The JNVST Class 6th application forms are available online from July 1, 2019. The JNVST Registration 2020-21 last date is September 15, 2019. The registration process has been simplified this year. Students can register free of cost on the admission portal of NVS at
 www.navodaya.gov.in. The verification of all the proofs including residence, age, eligibility, etc will be done after the declaration of the results in the month of March 2020. Check the dates and process to fill JNVST Class 6th Admission Form here:

Steps for JNVST Class 6th Registration 2020-21

  • The registration process is in online mode. Students can register themselves free of cost on the official website www.navodaya.gov.in. Read the prospectus carefully and make sure that you are eligible to apply.

  • Fill in the JNVST Class 6th Registration 2020-21 form and upload the certificate issued by the HeadMaster/Principal and submit the same to him along with the candidate’s photograph and signature of both the applicant and guardian.

  • The documents should be uploaded in the jpg format within the size of 10-100 kb only.

  • Candidates from NIOS can apply after making sure that they have ‘B’ certificate and their residence is in the same district where they are applying for admission.

  • The JNVST Class 6th Registration forms can be submitted from any platform like desktop, laptop, mobile, tablet etc.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission Form Notification 2019 to be issued by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Simiti in upcoming days. Official Notification for admission in class 6th and 9th in Navodaya Vidyalaya  to issued in Fourth week of September/October month (expected). In previous year, Admission process was done in September-October 2017. As per source information, This year prospectus cum application form released in September/October month. Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2018 has released in 24th September 2017. Process of submission of application will be going to end on Fourth week of November 2018 (Expected). Eligibility criteria details are available below.
JNVST Entrance Test 2019 Eligibility Criteria:
Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission Age Limit:
  • For Class 6th: Aspirants who are seeking for admission must not have born before 01.05.2006and after 30.04.2010 means applicant date of birth should be between above mentioned dates. This age limit is applicable to all category candidates including SC/STs.
  • For Class 9th: Applicant should not born before 01 May 2003 and not after 30 April, 2007. For all category candidates.
Educational Qualification:
Aspirant appearing for JNVST 2019-20 Selection Test must be studying in the 5th Class for the whole of the academic session 2017-18 in govt authorized board/schools or ‘B’ certificate competency course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is looking for admission. Candidate must successfully complete the 05th Standard in academic session 2018-19. Actual Admission in class 6th for the academic year 2019-20 will be subject to this condition. More details are available in Prospectus.
For Rural Candidates: Aspirants who belongs to Rural Area, he/she must have done Class III, IV, V from a recognized school which located in rural areas. 75% seats are reserved for rural area candidates in a district and remaining seats will be filled by Urban Candidates.
Candidates who are studying under the schemes of SSA (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), they have to produce the rural status certificate which issued by District Magistrate/ Block Development Officer (BDO)/ Tehsildar.
For Urban Candidates: Candidates who belongs to Urban Areas and School also located in Urban Areas, he/she should be considered as Urban Areas Candidates and has done the Classes III, IV and V from a affiliated school.
For Transgender Candidates: No Separate reservation for Transgender Category candidates is provided and they will be included in Boys Category for reservation purpose, under various Sub Categories Viz Rural, Urban, SC, ST and Divyang.
For 9th Class: Student should be completed or appearing in 8th Class eligible to apply for 9th class entrance exam. But finally Student qualified the Class VIII examination.

JNV Admission Selection Procedure: Selection of application will be made on the basis of their performance in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) (Marks obtained in written entrance exam).

How to Apply for JNVST Entrance Exam 2019:
  1. Admission process will be done through Online Mode. Detailed and intensive verification of Proofs for Age, Residence, Eligibility, Caste, etc will be done for successfully candidates through the laid down procedure.
  2. Eligible candidates along with his/her parent/ guardians may approach Common Service Centre along with Dully Filled in certificate from the Head Master of School where candidate is studying in the 5th Class. The format of Certificate may be downloaded from official website – nvshq.org and the sample of format is enclosed.
  3. In Case of candidates from NIOS, candidate should obtain ‘B’ certificate and residence should be in same district where the application is seeking for admission.
The Application for JNVST 2019 Entrance is being processed through Common Service Centre of Ministry of IT, Govt of India. Common Service Centre have a wider range with 2.6 lakh centres across our country virtually covering every village. As per the MOU with NVS, common service centre will be charging Rs.35/- to be paid by the parent/. Candidate towards service charge to upload the application form per candidate.
New Notification Details about to How to Apply (Credit- nvsqh.org): “In addition to the provision of online application for admission through Common Service Centres, the parents/candidates can also submit their applications duly verified by the Headmaster of the school where the candidate is studying in class V during 2018-19 to the Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the district concerned and obtain acknowledgement.The candidates who have already registered successfully through CSC need not submit another application through offline mode.The application form may be downloaded from the website www.nvshq.org”
Offline Mode: Candidates who wish to submit the Application Form through Offline Mode they have to submit the dully filled application form to the Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the District Concerned and Obtain Acknowledgement. Last date to submit the application form is December 2018 (Expected).
Document Lists required after qualify the Selection Test:
  1. Residence Certificate in Prescribed Performa
  2. Date of birth proof. However if any doubt arises a medical board will verify it.
  3. Proofs for eligibility as per the conditions of NVS
  4. Aspirants who are seeking for admission under rural quota, the parents will also have to submit the certificate to the effect that the child had studied in the an Institute located in a notified rural area.
  5. Any other documents required.

JNV Selection Test 2019 Exam Dates:
This Year, Only One Entrance Exam will be held for Same Date for all the States and Exam Date is April 2019 (Tentative). For more details please refer the official notification.

Previous Year Notification Details:  Few days ago, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has published official notification to provide admission in Class 6th for Academic Year 2017-18. Aspirants can take admission in Sixth Class after qualify the JNVST 2017 Entrance Test. This exam conduct by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in month of January, April and July. Exam Dates for Academic year 2017-18 available below. First exam will be conduct on 8th January 2017 in various exam centres.

Candidates who are eligible, they can get the admission form or application from
  • District Education Officer (DEO)
  • Block Education Officer (BEO)
  • Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
  • Headmaster of any Government/ Govt. aided/ NIOS where he/she is studying.
Aspirants have to submit the application form in prescribed format means via offline mode to Block Education Officer (BEO) till to 16th September 2016. After that candidates will not able to apply for JNVST ENTRANCE TEST 2017-2018.
